An Invitation

“I would like to invite you to participate in a DharmaJiva tour.”

Dh. ManidhammaMy name is Manidhamma and I live in Nagpur, in Central India. I make all of the arrangements for our delegations including seminars, transportation, meals, accommodations and activities.

Millions of Dalit (ex-Untouchable) people in India have become Buddhists in recent years. I come from a Dalit family myself, and I was able to get a good education because my father was inspired by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the great social reformer who started the mass conversion to Buddhism.

In 1994 I was ordained as a Dharmachari and I have dedicated my life to Buddhism and helping others. I have studied in England and am involved with many Buddhist social and Dharma projects in India and Europe.

For a number of years I have organized Buddhist pilgrimages and tours in India, Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia. I am very happy to be part of DharmaJiva since it is a way for our Buddhist friends in the West and Asia to see Buddhism in India.

If you participate in the tour I will be traveling with you and acting as a guide at many of the places that we visit. India can be a difficult place to travel for foreigners, and we make every effort to make sure that your trip is comfortable and safe.

If you have any questions about our tours please contact us.

Warm Regards,

Manidhamma (Ravindra Bhaware)
