DharmaJiva offers a unique opportunity for Buddhist travelers to visit historic pilgrimage places like Bodh Gaya and Sarnath and have an opportunity to meet modern-day Indian Buddhists who are working to re-establish Dharma practice in the Buddha’s homeland.
Our twenty-one day tours for small groups of eight to twelve people are led by experienced Indian guides who are knowledgeable in Buddhist history and practice and arrange for opportunities to meet local people and learn about life in India today.
DharmaJiva tours are a special way to connect with the 2,500 year-old Buddhist tradition and see how it is changing Indian society today.
It was a life-changing event and I am very glad to have participated.
The speakers, programs, tours, and sangha gatherings showed me a world that I had no idea existed and made me feel a part of an amazing group of people and gave me an overwhelming desire to contribute.
For me it was really the experience of a lifetime. It was a mix of the beauty of the place, a real connection with the worldwide sangha, a deeper connection with the story of the Buddha, an inspiration to deeper practice and to social action based on the Dharma, and a chance to stretch my personal boundaries.
An unforgettable and valuable learning experience. Absolutely not to be missed. Powerful, inspiring and unforgettable.
